Care Dental Associates, the office of Drs. Hyman and Dandu, cares for families from Meriden and the surrounding communities with compassion and dedication to delivering an exceptional dental experience. 

Drs. Hyman and Dandu treat patients of all ages and perform most procedures in-house, so you don’t need a referral to a specialist. 

Care Dental Associates is located on the 2nd floor at 130 East Main St. in Meriden, CT, between St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and The Elks Lodge.

Meet the Dentists

David B. Hyman, D.D.S.

Dr. Hyman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Clark University in 1977. He attended the University of Maryland School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1981. He has been recognized as a top dentist by the Consumer Research Council of America.

Dr. Hyman is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, the Constitution and Bylaws Committee of the CSDA, and the Meriden Chamber of Commerce. He is currently vice chairman of Hartford HealthCare Corporation’s Board of Directors.

Dr. Hyman previously served as president of the Meriden-Wallingford-Cheshire Dental Society and the Visiting Nurse Association of Meriden. In addition, Dr. Hyman served as chairman of the Dental Peer Review Committee, as well as chairman, director emeritus and a member of the Board of Directors for MidState Medical Center.

Shruti Dandu, D.D.S.

In addition to earning a dental degree and residency in Periodontics in India, Dr. Dandu furthered her dental training and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

She is a caring and compassionate practitioner dedicated to understanding patient concerns. She has provided dental services to those less fortunate, including volunteering for Give Kids a Smile, the USC Mobile Clinic which provides free dental care to children of migrant workers throughout Central California, and the First Choice Health Center mobile van which serves the needs of children in Hartford and Tolland county.
